Hubbub Club protests Santa Rosa’s ban of street music The Hubbub Club paraded through downtown Santa Rosa in August with a bunch of musicians and other folks—protesting the city ban on playing music in the street without a permit. It was a fun, celebratory event, well publicized beforehand, but deliberately unpermitted. The police decided to clear out in advance, and there was no trouble or confrontation. Lots of petitions got signed to overturn the music ban. And a great amount of music was played in the streets!
