(Fremont, WA) Honk! Fest West 2010 started out in fine form Friday night on the streets and parking lots of Fremont, WA., aka the Center of the Universe. For close to four hours, bands from as far away as Providence, RI, Brooklyn, NY, Austin, TX, Santa Rosa & Palo Alto, CA, and Vancouver, BC all played for a crowd of over 1000 in four separate, but fairly close together, locations. By the end of the evening, members of various bands could be seen joining in with the Carnival Band of Vancouver in what promised to be the first of many moments of band cross-pollination.
